A website is where people decide. Ads are how they get there. Kenna Scales puts your business at the top of the page for the searches your customers are already typing — month to month, no agency contract, run by the same person who built your site.

Plans from $300 a month. Your ad budget is separate, set by you, and always shown in full.

Without ads

You exist, but on page two. The three businesses above you get the call — not because they're better, because they're first.

With Kenna Scales

Top of the page, with your rating, your hours and a button that dials your phone. Same business. Different position.

Month to month

No twelve-month agency agreement. You stay because it's working, or you stop. That's the whole deal.

One person, not a queue

The same person who built your site writes the ads. Nothing gets handed to a junior you've never met.

Every dollar shown

One page each month: what was spent, where it went, what came back. No dashboard logins you'll never open.

What you're buying

Attention, bought at a known price

Most local businesses lose work to a competitor who isn't better at the job — only easier to find. Someone types four words into a phone, taps one of the first three results, and books. That decision takes eleven seconds and your website never got a chance to be part of it.

Ads are how you buy your way into those eleven seconds. You decide what a customer is worth to you, you set a budget, and you only pay when somebody actually clicks through to your site. Nobody's browsing. These are people who typed the thing you sell into a search bar thirty seconds ago.

What I do with that budget is the unglamorous part: pick the searches worth showing up for, write the ad, block the searches that waste money, watch which version gets calls, and turn off the ones that don't. It's a weekly job, which is exactly why most owners start an account, spend four hundred dollars in a fortnight, and decide ads don't work.

Ads work. Unattended ads don't.

Where the ads run

Four places, chosen for your business

You don't need all of them. Most businesses need one done properly before they need a second.

Google Search

The highest-intent advertising there is. Someone types “emergency plumber” or “wedding florist near me” and your ad sits above every organic result. You pay per click, not per view.

Trades · Services · Urgent needs

Google Maps & Local

The map pack at the top of local searches, plus Local Services ads where they're available. This is what gets you the “open now, 0.8 miles away” call.

Anyone with a front door

Facebook & Instagram

Cheaper attention for businesses people choose with their eyes. Also the best place to reach the person who visited your site last week and didn't book — they see you again for pennies.

Food · Salons · Retail · Fitness

TikTok

The cheapest reach available right now, if your business has something worth watching for eight seconds. Honest answer: for most trades it isn't the first thing I'd spend your money on, and I'll say so.

Under-40 customers · Visual work

Which platform comes first is decided on the call, from what you sell and who buys it — not from whichever one is fashionable.

Plans

A flat monthly fee, never a cut of your spend

Agencies usually charge a percentage of your ad budget, which quietly rewards them for spending more of your money. I don't. The fee is the fee, and your budget is yours.

Already have a Kennabuilds website? Your first month is free.

If I built your site, the management fee for month one is waived on any plan — you fund the ads, I do the work for nothing. Your site is already tracking properly and I already know your business, so setup that normally takes a week takes a day. You get a real month of results before you pay for one.

Setup is included — there's no separate onboarding fee. The free first month applies to existing Kennabuilds website clients. The ad budget is not part of these prices, is set by you, and is never marked up. Plans are month to month; cancel with two weeks' notice before your next billing date and the accounts, campaigns and data all come with you.

Billing

Two ways to pay — your pick

Some owners never want to think about it again. Others want a proper invoice their bookkeeper can file. Both are fine, and you can switch whenever you like.

Auto-pay monthly

A Stripe subscription, set up once on your first day. It charges the same date every month and you never chase a payment again.

  • Card or bank transfer through Stripe
  • Charges on the same date each month
  • Receipt emailed the moment it goes through
  • Update the card or cancel from any receipt
  • Nothing to remember, nothing to sign each month

Best if you'd rather set it and forget it, and you want campaigns to never pause over an unpaid invoice.

Invoice at month's end

An itemised invoice emailed on the last business day of the month, covering the month just finished.

  • Emailed on the last business day
  • Due within 7 days
  • Pay by card through the link, or bank transfer
  • Itemised: management fee, ad spend, anything extra
  • Proper records for your books and your accountant

Best if you run everything through a bookkeeper, or you need the paperwork to match your accounting month.

One rule, either way: the ad budget goes first

The management fee is the part you can auto-pay or settle on invoice. The ad budget is different — it's sent before the month's campaigns run, because it goes straight out to Google, Meta or TikTok on your behalf and I don't float ad spend. It's never marked up: every dollar you send for ads is a dollar the platforms receive, and the monthly report shows exactly where it went.

No setup fee, no cancellation fee, no minimum term. If you stop, you stop — the last invoice covers the days that actually ran, and the ad accounts stay yours.

Before you apply

The questions I get most

Do I need a website from you to run ads?

No, but you do need somewhere decent for the click to land. Sending paid traffic to a slow or confusing page is the fastest way to waste a budget — you pay for the click either way, whether or not the page converts.

If your current site isn't up to it, I'll tell you on the call and we'll either fix the one page that matters or talk about a build. And if I'm the one who built your site, your first month of ad management is free.

How much should I actually put into ads?

Enough that the platform has data to learn from — below roughly $300 a month, most local campaigns never get out of the guessing phase. The honest starting point is the number you'd be comfortable losing entirely for sixty days while we find out what works. Set it there, and raise it once it's paying for itself.

Who owns the ad accounts?

You do. Everything is built under your business's own accounts with you as owner, and I'm added as a manager. If we stop working together I get removed and you lose nothing — no campaigns to rebuild, no history to start over. Holding accounts hostage is a normal agency move and it's a rotten one.

How does the ad budget reach the platforms?

You send the month's budget to me alongside your plan, before the campaigns run, and I pay Google, Meta or TikTok directly out of it. Nothing is marked up — the monthly report shows what was sent, what was spent, and anything left over rolls into the next month.

When will I see something?

Clicks in days. A fair read on whether it's working takes about sixty days, because the first few weeks are the platforms learning and you paying for that education. Anyone promising results in week one is guessing, and they're guessing with your money.

Can I pause for the off-season?

Yes, and you should. Plenty of local businesses only need ads for part of the year. Pause the plan, pause the spend, and pick it back up when your season starts — the campaigns are still there waiting.

Do you guarantee results?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. I can guarantee the work: the campaigns get built properly, watched weekly and reported honestly. What I can't guarantee is what your market does, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise to close a sale.

Let's see if the numbers work

The form takes about four minutes. If your figures can work, I'll email you within two business days to set up the call. If I don't think they can, I'll tell you that instead — it's a short email and it saves us both a year.
